One of the things that caught my attention in reviewing their file of dining spaces, is how they are at ease in mixing vintage, modern and antique pieces.  The room above is put together with objects from the second half of the 20th century.  You have the 70s oval glass and chrome table, the 60s/70s credenza that grounds the space, the 50s Serge Mouillon 3-arm ceiling light and the midcentury dining chairs all of which work marvelous in the restricted space. The dark palette works very well, as it is balanced by the Mapplethorpe photo, light colored carpet and fabric covered chairs. It has the feeling of a 21st century refined and modern “Mad Men-luxe”.

The very different room below has many of the same elements as the one above.  It has a black oval Saarinen-like table which grounds the space and is surrounded by midcentury dining chairs.  The glass-topped credenza and lamp are there to provide a function but not to provide visual weight.  And here the designers use a crystal chandelier, making the space feel much more “60s Palm Springs-luxe”.
