Some of you may have missed the great honor given to me this Spring by the Organizing Committee of the Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse in New York. It’s one, if not THE, oldest decorating showhouses in the world and has been going strong, uninterrupted, for close to 50 years.
I was asked to design and decorate the gallery entry and lower staircase in a mansion on 74th street. For those who don’t know, this is a HUGE honor for any interior designer as, in the words of others, it showcases “the best of the best”. How I got in, who knows, but I ran with the invite and never looked back!!! I was lucky enough to get press from Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Elle Decor Italia, Washington Post, Forbes, House Beautiful, Downtown Magazine, Introspective Magazine and many others. For awhile, the images were trending on Instagram. I was super, super pleased.
Click the video link to see a short 3 minute video on my space (Richard Rabel at the Kips Bay Designer Showhouse). If possible, please view it in its entirety and like it. It’s the only way it will turn up on my Google search results!
In anticipation, Thank You. Enjoy!
