Project Pickboard | richard rabel: using dering hall in a master bedroom – (3/5)

lamps: Tim Clarke

Today is day 3 in the selection of furniture and accessories for the master bedroom of a couple in their 60s who want a sophisticated, comfortable and stylish new bedroom. As a reminder, ALL items selected this week come from Dering Hall, the ever so chic online marketplace for new furnishings.

Today we focus on lighting.  There will be fixed lighting “cans” on the ceiling to cast warm light on different parts of the room, but the fun lighting are the decorative pieces selected today that add a punch of style to the room.

For the bedside tables I’m proposing the Santa Monica-based designer Tim Clarke’s Tower 20 lamps.  The blue weave pattern lamps with wood base and white lampshades, are the perfect laid-back companions to sit atop the minimalist brass bedside tables on either side of the tailored, moss-colored upholstered bed frame.  PRE-CIO-US!!!

As for the lighting in the small sitting area, I really like the idea of clustering 3 small Clear Band pendants by Philadelphia-based artist John Pomp.  Not only do they provide light, but as you enter the room, they add an interesting focal point.

We’re over the hump guys … tomorrow we look at rugs, accessories and art.
