Today is day two of our bachelor pad living room make over.
For the cocktail table I selected a 1970s modernist piece with chrome steel support and mahogany/off-white lacquer top. The ends of the table slide in/out depending on the size you want the table to be. The chrome support duplicates the sofa’s legs and the coloring works well with the sofa and the zebra swivel chairs I chose yesterday. The table is offered by Galerie van den Akker via 1stdibs.com.
On one side of the couch, a small 1930s Art Deco goatskin side table with ebonized legs is selected to texturally serve as a counter-balance to the zebra-pelt upholstered chairs. The shape of the table also helps to slightly soften the angularity of the sofa. The table is from Steve Newman Fine Arts via 1stdibs.com.
Between the zebra chairs, I’ve selected a super cool contemporary tripod side table in bronze and glass by über chic French designer Hervé van der Straeten offered by the very nice people of Maison Gerard via 1stdibs.com.
