For some time I’ve known of these wonderfully modern stools, the “Stoll 50”, designed by the immensely talented Spanish brothers Jordi and Borja Veciana for the Ghent-based store Wildspirit.
The multi-functional luxurious stools can serve as a comfortable pouf, tray (take the puff leather insert out) or side table (flip over the tray) all while storing the unsightly inside the rollable wooden drums. Aside from their multi-functionality, these stools are made with an incredible attention to detail, from the perfect stitching on the upholstered seat to the invisible seams and the flawless wood veneers on the body.
The pieces come in walnut or oak and in a variety of supple Italian leathers to cover the seat. They measure 19.7 in. | 50cm. in diameter and 16in. | 40 cm. tall — perfect for extra seating around the contemporary home or the tiny city apartment.
Also available is the “Stoll 90”, an ottoman of similar multi-functional characteristics.
