One thing we cannot deny about the French is their chicness and sophistication in everything art and design.  So when I was approached by Anna of European Chic to write a guest blog this summer I was admittedly slightly intimidated about selecting an appropriate topic.  After much soul searching I came up with one distinguishing element of being chic in the 19th century … and that was through the dinner tables of the aristocrats during the Napoleonic era.
