Delightful Turkish poufs

How wonderful is this pouf, the Suri, designed by the Milan based Italo-Turkish design firm AKSU/SUARDI for Istanbul furniture maker Koleksiyon.

Inspired by the 17th century fez – a felt, round or conical shaped hat with a flat top, I find the design to be fresh, modern and elegant.  Often design can be local, but in this case, the design of the Suriis truly international. Imagine – it can sit comfortably well, depending on the color, in a rustic Swiss chalet, in a contemporary American loft or in a refined classic interior (images below).
Don’t you just love a good pouf!
