Dedon: recyclable luxury

Recently I was poolside in the house of some very fancy friends and was taken back by their beautiful outside furniture.   Wowzer! Not only was it colorful but comfortable and in my book, that makes it a home-run! So I took it upon myself to look into it.

Produced by Dedon, the German light-hearted yet luxurious outdoor furniture company, the Dala Collection was designed by American Stephen Burks.  Its essence is its ecological woven fiber — recyclable food-and-drink packaging and recyclable polyethylene — that is geometrically woven through the colorful powder-coated frame. Unlike other weaving materials like palm, the texture is soft to the touch.
This VERY laid back furniture is also surprisingly lightweight and comes as a chair, ottoman and stool/side table.  Blue is my preference, but it also comes in green and red.  So whether sitting seaside in Greece, poolside in Mexico or lakeside in Michigan, this is certainly some stellar furniture to consider.
