Art comes in different disguises. ever consider a fossil?

Recently I was pouring over catalogues looking for accessories for an office: something different to inspire an executive as she makes her fortune.

In the past I have used fossils of million-year old creatures which I think can be beautiful in creating interesting vignettes but alas, this would not be right for this Senior Vice President.
But I struck gold when I found this stunning fossil of a water lily – elegant and simple –  it reminds me of the millenary objects used by Oriental authors and scribes to enlightenment them.  I love the depth of the fossil and how it springs out from the dark stone ground.  Although this is a HUGE piece measuring 7 ft. tall, correctly inset into the walls or wood paneling it will take on a sculptural element and remove the need for man made art.
I’m not an expert on the Lower Jurassic period by any means (too many millions and millions of years ago!), but beauty I do know and this gorgeous fossil has the presence to certainly hold its own.  The perfect piece for that executive on the rise!
