Claude Lalanne (b. 1925) like her very talented late husband Francois-Xavier Lalanne (1927-2008), is one of these artists living today with extraordinary imagination, ingenuity and style that has captivated today’s important collectors and cultivated designers.
A choice pick because of its whimsy and sophistication is the gingko biloba table, a timeless piece of contemporary art named after the herb whose leaf serves as inspiration to the design of the table top. Designed in 2009 and cast in aluminum, the table is one of 8 made and can easily be used as either a small dining or hall table. It is 28.3/8 in. | 72.2 cm. tall and 61 in. | 155 cm. in diameter.
