Although I’ve known of them for years, being based in New York really did not give me the chance to pay them a visit. But as luck would have it, I started working with a client in Dallas, so when I had to find some home accessories, the first store to come to mind was Ceylon et Cie., the brainchild of accomplished Interior Designer Michelle Nussbaumer.
The store is FABULOUS. There are all sorts of things from decorative Old Masters to Indian furniture and everything in between. What caught my eye for this particular project was a pair of beautiful blue Murano lamps from the 1950s … very handsome. I love how the glass seems to melt down the post like candle wax.
What’s someone’s loss is someone’s gain. My client decided on another pair, so these are currently available for sale. They are (27 in. tall x 13 in wide with shade | 68.5 x 33 cm.) and as a pair, retail for US$4,800.
