shio: intricate mineral formations for the home

Last week I was at Modenus once again.  I featured the creative, intriguing and sublime work of a very cool science geek turned artist, Seattle-based Daniel MacDonald.  MacDonald has figured out the way of turning his childhood fascination with crystal formations into a business.  And it’s not about illegally breaking stalactites from the caves and selling them on Ebay … it’s about making his own crystalline sculptures with the same tools that nature uses for hers.  It’s a fascinating way to incorporate nature in your décor.  Come with me …
